CBT Cost

Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is provided by private motorcycle trainers, so the prices vary from trainer to trainer. Motorcycle trainers who provide CBT are known as “approved training providers” or ABTs.

In order to get some quotes you simply need to contact a variety of motorcycle instructors and see what they have to offer.

When it comes to learning to ride a motorcycle though, do not sacrifice quality for price. If you feel as though a particular trainer won’t give you the guidance and training you need to make you the best possible rider on the road, go with somebody else.

It’s worth paying a few hundred extra pounds to ensure you know how to keep yourself safe on the road, after all.

Most motorcycle trainers will provide CBT in around the same price range but as said already, the only way to be sure is if you contact them directly and get some quotes together.

CBT Cost

When considering the CBT cost, as with considering any cost, consider what the cost of getting substandard training may be.

When riding a motorbike you are not protected like other road users are. You don’t have airbags, you don’t have vehicle stability control and you don’t have a protective shell of metal and other high-tech components to cushion you if there’s a crash. There’s just you, speeding metal and deadly objects if you come off the bike.

So the solution is to not come off the bike and the way to achieve this is to be trained by the best assessors available.

Do not compromise on quality for price - your life is at stake here!

So instead of getting a more expensive bike, get a more expensive training package and if possible take a refresher course every few years to make sure your skills haven’t gone in the wrong direction.

We will provide more information about CBT as time goes on, thank you you for reading :)
